NISCAIR Online Periodicals Repository (NOPR):

A solution called “NISCAIR ONLINE PERIODICALS REPOSITORY (NOPR)” based on the open source digital repository system software has been implemented.

National Knowledge Resources Consortium :

As a result of constant decline of journals information base in CSIR labs, it was decided to setup E-Journals Consortium in 2001. It aims at providing access to 4500+ world-class e-journals, Patent databases, standards, bibliographic databases etc to all CSIR labs, as against the print base of 20-200 print journals.

National Science Digital Library (NSDL):

National Science Digital Library (NSDL) aims at providing comprehensive S&T information to students of science, engineering and technology in the country. Started as a project under Xth FY Plan Network Project of CSIR, NSDL provides curriculum based content to cater to information needs of the undergraduate students of science.

National Science Library:

National Science Library (NSL) has over 2,40,000 printed collection of S&T documents which includes monographs, journals, reports, theses/dissertations, standards, and patents etc. NISCAIR is planning to put some important publications like Ph.D. theses/dissertations, monographs etc. on website for public access.

National Union Catalogue of Scientific Serials in India (NUCSSI):

Serial publications being the main source of current S&T information, National Union Catalogue of Scientific Serials in India (NUCSSI), the first indigenous database serves as an ideal access tool for serials holdings information. It contains over 44,000 unique journal titles with 2.68 lakhs holdings data of more than 500 libraries of major universities, S&T institutions, R&D units of industries, higher institutes like IISc, IITs and professional institutes in S&T within the country.

On-line Indian Science Abstracts:

Indian Science Abstracts (ISA) is a semi-monthly abstracting journal which has been reporting scientific work done in India since 1965. Original research articles short communications, review articles, and informative articles published in current scientific and technical periodicals, proceedings of conferences and symposia, monographs and other publications, as well as patents, standards and theses are reported in ISA.
